I recently visited the workroom of fashion designer Casey Crespo, who is an ethical designer clothing from Wilmington, NC now living in Atlanta.  Casey makes really cute everday wear that is very accessible to different lifestyles(for the office, running errands, fitness and/or a night out). She uses a lot of organic, bamboo and hemp fabrics in her clothes.

Crespo Clothing is broken up into a couple different lines.  Athletic apparel with some really cute yoga pants(some long with a heel opening which I love!) and yoga tops.  To me, these fitness pieces are just as cute as any high end brand out there and the price is better(and again, ethical and supporting local).

Then there is “small batch” for individuals to purchase her super cute dresses, skirts, leggings and amazing outerwear pieces! You can buy her clothes online or on her Etsy site. In her fall line, I am in love with so many of her pieces!  They’re so soft, with a great fall color palette and are even better when layered.

Stay tuned for more on Casey!  Here is a pic of one of her dresses I recently got for my birthday, I have worn it several times already and just love it! It is made from a bamboo fabric.  Bamboo is not only sustainable fabric, but eco friendly and so super soft.

I wore it photographed here in a more casual look with sandles(from Fab’rik) and then a dressier look with a blazer, tights and ankle wedge booties(by TOMS).  The ruching on the side is very figure flattering and this dress looks great on any shape because of the way it is designed.  There is a little more length on one side and the other side offers showing a little more leg.  I love so many of her pieces and plan to have a  lot more of her clothes in my closet soon.  It is very worth the purchase, not only going towards supporting a local designer but someone who uses ethical fabrics and sews her own clothes!  This is a designer to watch out for, she is going to go very far in life!
