Today is the first day of Fashion Revolution week and this year is a great opportunity to bring some attention to this cause since fashion is one of the biggest polluters and climate change is affecting us greatly in many ways all over the planet. My first highlight this week happens to be a good friend of mine, Priscilla of E1even Is Pr1me. She is an awesome custom designer out of Atlanta who makes a variety of custom designs from wedding dresses, to hats, to cool jackets, and even refurbishing old clothes to make them fresh and so much more trendy.
We started doing some little and some pretty damn big fashion shows around Atlanta at local clubs, Opera, Halo and T&G with some amazing friends. She made these beautiful dresses from scratch, it was like Project Runway, the first show we did she was sewing till the last minute! Those were the days! Then she went on to make these cool refurbished tee shirts, using old tee shirts, cutting, adding new fabric and making it a whole new design. We did one show with just those shirts and I still have a couple of those and a couple dresses.
She really blew me away with her amazing wedding dresses she has made for several brides who all had very different styles and they turned out so stunning! She is always working on something amazing and shares her process with us on her Instagram page and blog! She also has been working on some dyeing methods and shares that as well! She is a perfect example of what Fashion Revolution designer should be!
She most recently has been using her old fabrics to make masks to give to her friends in the medical industry who are lacking in the resources they need right now to help as many humans as they can. These masks help them have another layer between, these are also great for wearing to the store to have some coverage. She is an amazingly talented human with such a huge heart and I am so grateful for her presence in my life and on this earth.
If you ever need a different, innovative and thoughtful design made for a special event please contact my friend, E1even Is Pr1me!
